June 25, 2025 — 
On June 16th 2025, law students from the Faculty of Law’s Manitoba Legal Clinic for the Arts presented to the Mid-Ocean School of Media Arts’ (MOSMA) class of 2025 about a few different areas of the legal world they may encounter over their careers. The in-person session was led by Donald Plant (2L) and Lee Margolis (2L).

June 22, 2025 — 
From May 7 -9, the Manitoba Legal Clinic for the Arts participated in the Northern Arts & Food Workshop, in Thompson, Manitoba. Hosted at University College of the North (UCN) in partnership with Creative Manitoba and the imagiNorthern Network the purpose of this event was to explore cultivating a strong, resilient creative economy that honours the diverse cultures, traditions, and talents of Northern Manitoba.

May 28, 2025 — 
The L. Kerry Vickar Business Law Clinic and Manitoba Legal Clinic for the Arts are operating at full speed, with a record seven law students hired to provide pro bono legal services throughout the summer of 2025 to clients anywhere in Manitoba with internet access.

April 15, 2025 — 
On March 6th, 2025, law students from U of M’s L. Kerry Vickar Business Law Clinic presented “Start-up Law 101: Law for Entrepreneurs,” a webinar delivered in partnership with Futurpreneur.

March 31, 2025 — 
On March 11, 2025, students from the L. Kerry Vickar Business Law Clinic at the University of Manitoba Faculty of Law visited students at Balmoral Hall School to share information on business law fundamentals and paths to becoming a lawyer in Manitoba.

March 11, 2025 — 
On February 11th, 2025, law students from U of M’s Manitoba Legal Clinic for the Arts presented at the “Business Affairs Workshops for Emerging Producers and Filmmakers”, hosted by On Screen Manitoba in partnership with Winnipeg Film Group.

December 10, 2024 — 
On November 27, 2024, two third-year law students, Nicholas Ly (3L) and Jordan Wagner (3L) [BComm(Hons)/2022] , from the Faculty of Law’s L. Kerry Vickar Business Law Clinic, delivered an insightful presentation at the Faculty of Law to fellow students. This event, entitled "Where IP and Business Law Connect", was hosted by the Manitoba Law Student Association’s, Intellectual Property and Technology Law Group and the Business Law Group. The presentation highlighted the critical intersections between intellectual property (IP) and business law.

December 6, 2024 — 
On October 11, 2024, law students at the University of Manitoba’s L. Kerry Vickar Business Law Clinic had the unique opportunity to meet in person with the Clinic’s benefactor, L. Kerry Vickar [LLB/1980], and his wife, Simone Vickar. This visit allowed students to showcase what they’ve learned through the Clinic and to gain insights from an alum whose entrepreneurial vision has helped shaped their legal education.

November 25, 2024 — 
On November 14, 2024, students from the L. Kerry Vickar Business Law Clinic and the Indigenous Business Education Partners (IBEP) at the Asper School of Business came together at the RBC Convention Centre in Winnipeg to celebrate the 18th annual Visionary Indigenous Business Excellence (VIBE) Awards. The event, hosted by IBEP, coincided with the 30th anniversary of IBEP, marking three decades of fostering community, education, and Indigenous business leadership.

November 22, 2024 — 
On November 6, 2024, law students from the Faculty of Law’s L. Kerry Vickar Business Law Clinic, Ravi Balchan (3L) [B. Comm. (Hons.)/2022], Alli Knox (3L) [B. Comm. (Hons.)/2017], and Jordan Wagner (3L) [B. Comm. (Hons.)/2022], all Asper School of Business graduates, hosted a webinar in collaboration with the Stu Clark Centre for Entrepreneurship entitled Startup Law 101: Protect Your New Venture.
